Does Ramp find subscriptions it never paid for?
No, and it is not built to. Ramp's spend data is the stream of transactions Ramp itself authorizes or pays. A bill paid through Ramp Bill Pay, by ACH or check, is in that stream. A subscription charged to a different card, debited from the operating account, or paid from the bank's own portal is not. ShadowLedger starts from the accounting ledger instead, which records a payment whichever rail it crossed.
Will Brex show me subscriptions paid outside Brex?
Not the ones paid outside Brex. Its data is the record of what Brex authorized or paid, so a bill run through Brex bill pay is in it and an ACH debit from another bank account is not. Brex's documentation describes exporting Brex transactions into QuickBooks Online. ShadowLedger reads that ledger directly, so a subscription paid by ACH or invoice shows up the same as one paid by card.
Does BILL Spend & Expense see subscriptions paid outside BILL?
Not the ones that never run through it. BILL is unusual among card platforms in that it also processes payables, so a vendor paid by ACH or check through BILL is visible to it where a pure card tool would miss that payment entirely. What stays outside its view is spend on rails it does not handle, because its record is what BILL processed rather than what your ledger recorded.
Does Cledara find subscriptions that are not on a Cledara card?
Cledara's documentation describes its Xero and QuickBooks integrations as pushing its transactions and bank statements into those books. ShadowLedger works the other way round, reading the ledger so a subscription is visible whether or not you have moved it onto a new card.
How is ShadowLedger different from SpendHound?
Both can use ledger data, and SpendHound ingests QuickBooks. SpendHound fits a company running its own SaaS spend, a private-equity portfolio rollup, or a referral under SpendHound's brand. ShadowLedger is a multi-client software spend review for a bookkeeping or CAS firm, with white-labeled reports the client never logs into.
